Discover the magic of cyanotype printing!
Join me for a creative workshop that’s simple, fun and full of artistic possibilities—perfect for anyone who loves experimenting with nature and light.
Cyanotype is a fascinating historic photographic process that creates images in a distinctive deep blue known as Prussian blue. We’ll use leaves, flowers, twigs, small objects and decorations to make unique, personal compositions.
I’ll prepare the light-sensitive paper in advance, so you can dive straight into the creative part!
During the workshop, you will:
choose the elements for your composition;
use the UV lamps provided to create impressions on the paper—or sunlight, if the weather allows;
watch your artwork transform as it develops in water;
dry your print and admire the beautiful blue of cyanotype.
You’ll have time to experiment with the technique and create several prints to take home and finish at your own pace.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have made one or more unique botanical prints to keep as a memento or use to decorate your home.
Let nature, light and creativity surprise you!
